Well since my last post things have been pretty money. I was down about 11k or so in cash games (mostly 5/10) and i managed to get that back to even in about 6k hands or so. I felt i played really well last week as far as cash games. I'm really working hard to not spew and do some do things that do not make sense. I still have some leaks that have carried over from 2/4 and i am just now realizing how far i have to go to become an elite player.
Now for the exciting stuff!!!! So Sunday is basically my tourney day and i am going to try to keep it that way (its a nice change of pace). So i set my alarm early so i can get in all the warm up donkaments and i end up busting in the in the Sunday Brawl with a set vs open ended straight draw and he bangs and i am out. I do not really remember how i busted in the warm up on stars but i did. So i still had one tourney running at it was one of the $100 rebuys on stars with aobut 1000 entrants and i got of to a good start and had a decent stack after the rebuy period. From there i preceeded to play really well. I felt i was changing gears at the right times and just seemed to be on top of things. but once we got down to the final 30 players i ran really well getting it in bad about 3-4 times and owning everytime. Once the final table hit i had my buddy Dodgyken sweat with me and help me with some of the math aspects and prize money stuff. I think i might have busted earlier but he helped me to stay sane and not monkey jam against the chip leader a few times. So we get 4 handed and the chip leader is being a real homo 3 betting a lot and just being a dick in general. But i just needed to wait out the shorty who only had 200k with blinds 20k/40k and finally he busted and it was time to gamble 3 handed. The other two guys loved to battle it out and i just let them do that while trying to pick my spots carefully. The chip leader bust the other guy and we go heads up and first hand we get it all in A2o vs AKo and we both hit our cards but his K holds to take it down. So ship me the 50k and the biggest week of my life.
As for my life things have been really good. This weekend i had a lot of fun my buddy had a costume party and all our friend went down and we had a good time. Costume parties in general set the tone for having a good night. We will see what this weekend holds with Holloween coming up, hopefully its a lot of fun.

I'm a bum
As far as blogging goes i am definitely a bum. For whatever reason i can't bring myself to come on here 3-4 times a week a write up a summary of whats been going on. I'm intrigued by the idea of blogging and looking back at in the future but to actually do it is a whole other story. But is something i plan to work and do more often.
Ill try and give a little up date of how things went in the previous months in poker. In August i think i made around 20k but i am not 100% on that. Now September was my weakest month ever as far as putting in hands go. I think a major contributor to that was buying a PS3, which was a great idea and a horrible one all at the same time. I think i managed to make a decent amount around 14k and that was over about 13k hands online and about 7 days of live play in vegas and at the commerce. Now on to the present month. I managed to start this month off with a BOOOOOOM dropping 15k pretty quickly in run bad and play bad style. I fought back and got it down to 7k then the next day bam dropped 4k and i seemed to just rinse and repeat this for about 2 weeks. Then for whatever reason i hop in some sunday donkaments and manage to final table the Sunday Brawl and get 5th for a solid 22k (best tourney cash eva). so that put me in the positive for the month and it feels good. Also after i had that cash i managed in the last 3 days or so do pull my game together a bit and scrap up 10k in my last 5k hands at 3/6-10/20. So my month has really turned around and i just hope i can continue to play well and fill some leaks that i still have.
On a side note i recently got asked to coach a midstakes player and we had our first session. Overall it went pretty good, we managed to find a few leaks in his preflop game that would help his all around game as far as bluffing frequency and getting into marginal spots postflop go. So as far as coaching goes i think i am going to try to pick a few more students. Maybe try to get some that want some on a regular basis and help some lil ones own the souls of many.
Now for the life stuff. Life as been going good i think i found a good balance between playing poker, working out, and hanging out with the friends. Although right now i enjoy playing poker more than any of those things. This weekend and next weekend should be fun because me and all my friends have a lot of things planned for holloween. This thursday we are going to Knotts scary farm which i hope was better than the one time i went but still all in all pretty sick. Then this friday my friend is having a costume party and his place in LA. And then im not even sure what we are doing holloween weekend as there is a bunch of little things that our friends are doing so who knows what we end up doing.

JULY!!!!
Well sorry its been awhile im kind of a bum with this whole blogging thing but im going to try to get better at it. I think if i can post some stuff 3 times a week that would be sufficient.
Well as for poker this past month it was my best month ever. I made 22k playing a combination of 2/4, 3/6, 5/10 and some 5/10 live also. I felt i played good but not my A game at all times. Another problem is i only managed to play 31k hands and i need to be playing 45k-50k hands a month to really see some truly great months. This is something im going to be working on but being that i live in SoCal i find it hard to put in the volume with so many things going on over here and my friends always going out and such. I think it would be a lot easier if i lived in the middle of the country where all the boring people live. But that is not the case and i need to find a way to do it anyways.
So thats it for now hopefully i can get some life stuff going on in here but for now that is all.

Been some time
hey guys hows it going. Its been awhile since i last logged on to this crazy life journal thing. Not a whole lot has gone on since except i made another trip to vegas and had fun hanging out over there. Also stayed at the Newport Dunes for the 4th with my ex girlfriends fam and friends and that was pretty fun. We went kayaking, swam, played some volleyball, and just grilled out food and just relaxed and having fun and the same time.
Well for some poker related info. I have been trying to stay actice working out about 6 days a week trying to get into real good shape and also have a clear mind while playing. Also with working out ive been trying to eat healthier (not going great but dropped 8Ibs.). It seems when i stay active like i am, i am more attentive at the tables and everything seems more clear especially when im attempting to 9 table 400nl-600nl. So thats basically what ive been doing poker wise, I try to 4 table when i play 1000nl and when i want to grind or the games arent good at 1000nl i 7-9 table 400nl-600nl. The results have been surprisingly good when im 9 tabling because i have a hard time 6 tabling but for some reason 9 tabling is doable. So as for this month im up about 10k over 12k hands and hopefully i can reach the 20k mark and also play over 40k hands. Its ganna be a grind but its something i need to get better at and its something i will be working on as months go by.

No Play Today
Well today was a long day. It started off waking up early to get over to school and i did the whole school thing till 1ish and then had to run to Steed Alignment to get my breaks fixed because they were squeakin like crazy.
So my bro picks me up from there and we head over to micro center and buy my new computer. Its pretty sick its HP like my monitor and also run smoothly and quickly which is really all i wanted.
Basically after i picked up my car all i did was work on my computer getting all the programs i need on it...such as: PT3, Skype, Mikogo, and some other stuff with music and what not.
Well the time has come and im going to be going to vegas for 3 days and i meeting up with a few guys that i have met online and also my group members. Im hoping its a fun time and we can get some golfin in and also some poker sweats and what not. So that should be way sick and hopefully somewhat educational but not to much.
Well thats all i got for today

5/10 is Big Monies
So this past Saturday was my biggest day at $5700 (forgot to mention that in my last post). Well now today i had my new biggest day ever at $7100. I played just over 1500 hands at 5/10 and and a little 2/4 but only 250 hands i think. So over my last 2 sessions i've made about 13k in just about 3k hands, which is pretty sick if ya ask me. So obviously i pretty overjoyed by how this 5 buyin shot has gone at 5/10, i hope that this good run can last for awhile so i can become a regular at that limit. But even if i am a reg. i will still play 2/4 just so i can get some good tables in there because the 5/10 games aren't always that great.

Its Been Awhile
So its been some time since i posted something on here. Alot has gone on. Lately ive been playing a decent amount of golf with some friends. I really love playing that game. It is not like the other sports that i have played. I use to be a big basketball and track guy, but once i got out of high school both of those werent as much as a priority. So now i got golf and it is a lot more mental and if you get off track you can really blow it on the course. Not only that but you really have to work hard at it and maintain it else your game can really go south. I think the reason it fits so well is its a lot like poker. You must constantly be working on your game so that you stay ahead of your competition and when you slack in it your results will show.
Alright now for some poker. I was talking with a friend(Noel aka peten2toms) and he was telling me i should take a 5 buyin shot at 5/10 and i gave it some thought and decided to go with it. I figure since im only 20 and i dont have many bills it is the perfect time for me to be aggressive moving up. So ive taken my shot and its got pretty good. Im out 8k over 6400 hands at 5/10 6 max but there was a small problem. I decided to mix in some 3/6 for game selection (which was dumb because it is obviously rigged) and over the last 2 weeks ive played 1300 hands there and im down a cool 5k. Im not sure what it is about that limit but i can not book wins there to save my life. So i have decided to totally cut it out of my game and never play it again.
alright well i would have posted hands but weaktight doesnt allow me to link it for some reason. Ill figure it out laters but not tonight

Structure
Well for the past month or so ive been off and on with my daily habits...such as the time i wake up, to what i do when i wake up, how many hands i get in during the day and the time at which i get those hands in, the time i work out and the time i just sit and read...these are all things that i want to have structure and a time that i can get these done that way i have time to do all the things that i want to do...so for the next month im really going to try to be up by 9 at the latest so i can be at the gym by 9:30ish and be out of there by 11...soon as i get back from doing that i want to put in hands for about 2 hours or so then eat some lunch take a nap and then get on the grind again that way im not up till 2 in the morning getting in hands...that way from about 5 or 6 on i will be able to do kind of whatever i want whether i just go to a friends or watch some sports on TV i will have some free time for that....and then also i want to get some reading in at night ( my goal is to read through the whole Bible by the end of summer, ive read a lot of it but never just straight through)...alright so thats enough with my rant on to some pokers...

the beginning
THE FIRST BLOG!!! OH the excitement.
Well today started off pretty good i was able to get to the gym nice and early, (9:30) is pretty early to be working out but i'm trying to be consistent with it. after i finished up working out i got home at some foods because i was starving, and then got on some tables and for the first sessions i managed to lose a cool $1600. so i took a break and hit up the golf course with some friends (i did horrible as expected, but i am determined to get good at that game). Then i got back home and put in another little session and i think i won about $600 back so i wasnt in to bad of shape.
So i stopped playing for a bit and hung out with a friend and we watched some of the playoff games(which are kind of pointless because the lake show is taking it for sure). So while my friends was here i decided it was time to pop up some tables and start to try and get into the green for the day...well i failed and i got down $2400 for the day. but i was able to make a strong recovery as one of my poker buds wanted to sweat and i was able to get into some good spots and bring it back so i was up a cool $300 for the day.

here the villain had been fairly aggro in our blind battles so i decided to throw a little back at him...he shove on the turn was a pretty easy because i think he has air a lot here and as you can see i beat that and if he does show up with an over pair i do have pretty good equity with 14 outs
